Is Severe Itching In Hands And Feet A Symptom Of Multiple Sclerosis?

I have MS. I HAVE BEEN HAVING ITCHING UNDER MY SKIN ON BOTH HANDS AND FEET. I CAUSES ME TO SCRATCH UNTIL THE SKIN STARTS TO BLEED. I HAVE BEEN UNDER ALOT OF STRESS DUE TO A DEATH IN FAMILY. COULD THIS BE ASSOCIATED WITH MS OR DO I HAVE SOMETHING ELSE GOING ON/?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are wondering if severe itching in hands and feet a symptom of multiple sclerosis . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like psoriasis , eczema , scabies , diabetes or allergic reaction . Itching on hands and feet can also occur due to multiple sclerosis .I would suggest you to maintain proper personal hygiene , apply petroleum jelly to affected area , take over the counter anti histamine like bendryl and apply cold compresses on affected area . Consult gastroenterology for proper examination . Doctor may order allergy test , blood test or take history . Doctor may also refer you to allergy specialist for allergy problem .
