Is Severe Pain In Right Leg A Symptom Of Spondylolysis?
I am in severe pain on my right leg and cannot find an appointment immediatly to get an epidoral injection i cannot sleep, walk, stand for long or sit for long. Please help me!!! I believe is a pinch nerve. My doctor think is spondylolysis. I have MRI and x-ray done.
Severe pain in the leg can be related to changes in the back such as spondylosis. Spondylosis can cause compression of the nerve. There are pain medications that may be able to help. Medications such as Amitriptyline, Gabapentin, Tegretol and Lyrica - help nerve related pain. Physiotherapy may also help as well.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
