Is Severe Upper Abdominal Pain A Symptom Of Pancreatitis?
I have pretty constant pain at what seems to be the valve going into my stomach. I ve taken omeprazole for many years. I have increased the dosage to three times per day, and have added over-the-counter pepcid, also three times a day, alternating with the omeprazole. The pain wakes me up while sleeping and hurts pretty much all day. I no longer have a gall bladder or appendix; my Sigmoid colon is also gone. Could this pain be related to a pancreatic condition?
yes pancreatic pain may present as upper abdominal pain.. if it is highly suspicious get done CT SCAN abdomen...it will confirm if any pancreatitis... in my advise consult gastrologist for such pain. take care
