Is Sharp, Constant Pain In Left Side Of Head With Blurry Vision Serious?
I have been having very sharp head pains in a very small section of the left side hemisphere of my head. This has been going on for about two months now. The party s do not last long, about thirty seconds, and it sort of blurrs my vision. When I complained to one of my close friends, they explained that it could be a brain tumor. I thought that I should go ahead and ask a doctor.
Hello dear, Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com. If you would have presented to me as an outpatient with this medical history,my clinical explanation would have been- Most common cause of episodic hemicranial headache with blurring of vision, from the epidemiological perspective is 'Migraine'.Please observe whether you are having other classical features of migraine like- 1)Throbbing or pulse like headache 2)Nausea 3)Photophobia(headache increases on exposure to light) and phonophobia(headache increases on exposure to sound). 4)Visual aura-Blurring of vision you are having is likely a visual aura. If you are having above features simultaneously, then it is likely migraine. Please consult a physician so that he takes a detailed history and put you on trial of anti-migraine therapy,if he thinks rationale for the same. He may also get a Computerised tomographic(CT) scan done to rule out the secondary headache.I hope it helps.
