Is Sinus Infection Associated With Chest Congestion?
Is chest congestion common with Sinus infections? Or has it turned into Bronchitis or Phenmonia? I ve recently been treated with antibiotics (Cefdinir) 300mg twice a day with a sinus infection 3 or 4 days ago, I ve recently had to quit smoking cigarettes last Saturday, and use to smoke weed daily but due to my chest congestion, stopped 2 days ago. When I lay down I can hear my lungs wheezing slightly and this is concerning to me. Yesterday I coughed up A TON of phlegm black/yellowish, less today. Is this normal? Should I see my doctor again or stop smoking and continue recovering from this infection?
Cefdinir is an antibiotic that is used for sinusitis also it has effects and in respiratory infection. Black phlegm is a symptom that needs to evaluate by your doctor, maybe it is from air pollution, smoking, infection of respiratory system etc. You smoke so it is important to see your doctor to exclude serious diseases of lungs.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
