Is Slight Cold, Coughing And Runny Nose Related To Relapse Of Pneumonia?

I have a slight cold, coughing, runny nose, and I've been taking cough medicine. Nothing serious. I have a pinching in my chest that I'm a bit concerned about. I had pneumonia a few years ago and it feels similar, only not as severe. Do I have a higher chance of getting pneumonia again, is it something I should be concerned about?

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
By your history and description, possibility of simple viral infection is more.
But if your symptoms persist for more than 2 weeks or worsening over next few days or development of fever than consult doctor and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and chest x ray to rule out pneumonia.
Recurrence of pneumonia is an possibility because you are previously having pneumonia.
So at present drink plenty of fluids orally and if your symptoms persist or worsen than consult doctor to rule out pneumonia.
Hope I have solved your query.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
