Is Smoking Safe After Mallory Weiss?

My boyfriend just had a Mallory Weiss procedure done. It was almost two weeks ago. He stopped smoking because of being in the hospital for a week and now he just started smoking cigarettes again today. He said it s not going to do anything bad, but I told him due to his acid reflux the smoking is very bad for it, and I think it may cause him to reopen the area at the end of his esophagus.am I right about the smoking?

You are damn right with your advise and he must stop smoking at once.It will not let the area heal up and cause smokers gastritis
