Is Sore And Painful Jaw On One Side Suggestive Of Bruised Jaw?
I RECENTLY, 5 DAYS AGO, WENT SNORKLING AND CLINCHED QUIT HARD ON THE SNORKLING. MY RIGHT JAW LINE, TOWARDS THE BACK IS SORE WHEN I CHEW ON SOMETHING HARD AND WHEN I TRY TO OPEN MY MOUTH BIG . COULD I HAVE BRUISED MY JAW ONLY ON ONE SIDE? MY TEETH ARE FINE.
As per your complain it seems that pain on right side of jaw when you have clenched the teeth tight over the snorkelling and if you would have dived in water there is a possibility that there might be some crack or or fracture in the tooth that might be leading to pain due to nerve exposure..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like x ray along with tapping the tooth to localise the area of pain can be done for diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
In case if there is only mild trauma leading to pain and soreness then nothing needs to be done and only take Ibuprofen for relief..

Is Sore And Painful Jaw On One Side Suggestive Of Bruised Jaw?
Hi. Welcome to HCM.. In case of tooth fracture either root canal treatment or extraction will resolve the pain.. Hope this helps.. Regards..
