Is Soreness Along With Bleeding In The C-section Area A Concern?

Hi, I am 2 weeks post c-section and I stupidly got a heavy car seat out of a car for my mother in law to make room to transport me and my new born to collect my other child from School. I shouldn t have done it, ans I didn t think because I have felt so good, now I feel sore internally on my Right side to the side of my scar and I bleed (period like) for about 20mins ... Have I done major damage?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to the injury of the scar due to heavy weight. The bleeding will gradually taper off and subside. If the bleeding continues, you should see your gynecologist for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
