Is Soreness Behind The Right Ear A Cause For Concern?

Hi, the last couple days there s been a soreness running from behind my right ear down across my throat...it s tender and sore to the touch as well...thought it might be the Eustachion tube but I don t think that is that long - is this something I should be concerned about?

Hello,

This does not sound something to worry about. The eustachian tube is a possible cause of the pain or muscle strain of a neck muscle.
These are both self-limiting conditions and should improve within the next week or so.
You may, meanwhile, take Ibuprofen to help with the pain.

If you notice no improvement in 7-10 days or you notice any worsening, you may need to see your doctor.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
