Is Soreness In Teeth A Symptom Of Tooth Infection?
Tooth infection or sinus infection? Tooth worked on 3 weeks ago . 2 days ago dentist said tooth fine did not take X-ray?next day more pain consulted Doctor antibiotic for sinus infection . Still in pain been on antibiotics for 2 days.top upper teeth very sore on left side where dental work was done
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that in case if you have symptoms of pain in all the teeth on the upper left side and if you also have symptoms of pain on face, nasal congestion, post nasal drip etc then it can be probably due to Sinus infection.. But in case if you have symptoms of only teeth pain and soreness then it can be probably due to radiating pain from the tooth in which dental treatment is done.. I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a full mouth x Ray like ORTHOPANTOMOGRAM can help in looking for the exact cause of the pain and treatment can be done accordingly.. In case if the pain is due to Sinusitis then a course of antibiotics, anti inflammatory painkiller, decongestants and saline nasal irrigation can help.. In case of tooth related pain treatment of tooth along with antibiotics and painkillers will relieve..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
