Is Stem Cell Transplantation An Option When Diagnosed With Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis?
Hello Doctor, I have a 19 year old daughter who had a live related kidney transplant in 2000. Lived with it approximately 13 years .. 2 years ago she started on hemodialysis. she is about 4 feet high, weighs 29.5 kg. my question is would stem cells transplantation would be an option in her case? she was diagnosed with focal segmental glomerulus sclerosis .

Stem cell transplant is helpful in cases of blood cancer. It would not be of any help in case of chronic kidney disease.
