Is Stomach Pain After Eating Symptom Of Gall Bladder Issue?

My son had a Hida scan and was normal. Still very sick with pain, fatigue, weight loss. After every meal he feels extremely tired and has stomach pain. He eats very clean as well. Can you still have a gall bladder issue with normal tests results? Thanks! Nesa

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As the HIDA scan is normal, I do not consider your son stomach issue as gall bladder problem. There can be various other issues possible such as:
- Gastric ulcer
- Motility disorder
- Gastric outlet obstruction
- Digestive enzyme deficiency
- Pancreas problems
- Gut flora disturbances
- Metabolic syndromes such as insulin resistance
- Hypercholesterolemia
- Obesity related disturbances
- GERD
- Hiatus hernia
- Others

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
