Hi,Dear.Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC.
Yes it is a normal physiologic thing which you are experiencing. It happens because whenever we lie down the blood coming from the uterus seeps out only and it collects in the cervix and when we stand upright it comes out due to gravity in a gush of flow.So there is nothing to worry about it.
And cramping during periods is quite a normal thing. And if you are having cramps which are hampering your day to day activity you can take antispasmodic tablets i.e.TAB MEFTAL SPAS to relieve the spasms.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

OBGYN Dr. Manmeet Kaur's  Response
hi there thanks for posting your query at HCM
There is nothing to worry
There is a known as spasmodic dysmenorrhea which is accompanied by a number of symptoms
They are like vomiting, spasmodic or tightening pain in the stomach and hypotension which is something like you have described like a little relieve when you lie down and sudden rush of blood when you get up
Consult your gynoe and ask her to give analgesics to you
plus you should take light diet and plenty of fluids
Take rest when you feel dizzy
Hope you are satisfied
Take care
