Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I have been prescribed to take Metoprolol (12.5 mg) in the morning and Ramipril (2.5 mg) in the evening. Currently I am taking Olmesar M 25 (Metoprolol 25 mg + Olmesartan 20 mg). But with this medicine my BP goes to 100/70. So, doctor prescribed reduced dose of metoprolol. Now, my question is Can I start and withdraw Ramipril suddenly.
hi hope to guide you in a better way you didn't mention that for what reason you are taking these drugs..any how for maintaining blood pressure 2 drugs are enough meto and Rami .. actually Rami and olmessartan use for maintaining b.p..both are same..but both of them Rami is more good as it's cheaper than the other one..no difference between them..so you can take Rami and meto rather switching Rami, u should switch olm.. no withdraw symptoms.. hope you got my point.. take good care of yours..
