Is Surgery Advisable For Anterior Talofibular Tear?
I have a complete anterior talofibular tear seen in an MRI 8/11/14 from a MVA 6/23/14. Still having moderate-severe pain whether I am on my feet or not with ankle instability. Have been going to PT for 3 weeks now at least 2 times per week as my work schedule allows. Would surgery be a good option?

Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. You can initially try for physiotherapy and muscle strengthening exercises. But if it is not helping then you can go for surgery after consulting an orthopedician. Even after surgery you need to do physiotherapy for some time. Hope this may help you. Let me know if you have any further queries.
