Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I tore my sternocostal head of my pectoral muscle. Surgery was recommended, but I would like to know lifestyle affects if I choose not to have surgery.Over time with Rehab, will I regain most of my range of motion pain fee? Is the only real difference that I would lose strength in the pectoral?
Hello dear Greetings Regarding whether surgery is the treatment option for pectoral muscle tear I will suggest YES it is very successful treatment to correct the defect
If you don't do the surgery it will cause weakness of your arm and shoulder muscles though with rehabilitation I may not guarantee any success
I hope this helps Regards
