Is Surgery Advisable To Repair Eardrum To Regain Hearing After An Injury?
A complete loss of ear drum was diagnosed by Doctor after I have met with an injury . The Doctor has advised surgery for repair of the Eardrum but has also said that the nerve damage could not be rectified which can lead to slight hearing loss. What should I do? Please guide.
Hi. A complete loss of eardrum needs surgery. If there is injury to the nerve responsible for hearing, there is no Definite Surgical treatment for that till date. If there is facial nerve injury , it can be repaired in a certain ares only. so please go ahead for the surgery.
