Is Surgery Advisable When Having COPD And Asthma?

Ihave a 2 inch polpa as of last Sept. I went for surgery and my surgen stopped it because my lungs did t sound good and said he really didn t want to put me on a ventaler because if something happened he might not be able to revive me. My primary doctor said my lung test showed I have really bad copd I also have asthma. What other recourse do I have besides surgery? I am a 73 yr old female.
