My friend had a ruptured brain aneurysm Fri. lungs filled with fluid. hole drilled in brain. heart attack Saturday on ventilator heavily sedated when vent or sedation is adjusted bp spikes waiting for lungs to clear so that he can be laid down for aneurysm surgery. my question is why surgery when he is probably pretty brain damaged eventhough the extent cannot be determined until he is conscious whenever that may be. Byt the time rescue was called to the time he was transferred to Bennington Hospital in VT where there was no neuro dept to Albany Medical Center there was a lapse of at least 6 or more hours.
