Is Surgery Necessary When Diagnosed With Diverticulitis?

I am now having my 4rth bout with diverticulitis, 1st time required a hospital stay for 4 days, the 2nd and 3rd times were minore bouts, now l am having a 4rth one, on oral antibiotics on bed rest at home. 1st bout was10-2013. I had a colonoscopy that revealed multiple divericula in the sigmoid, descending, transverse and ascending colon. Would l qualify for surgery. I am almost 50

I really appreciate your concern, what the history is given here is not enough to say anything about the qualify for the surgery or not because it require many investigation and clinical examinations, actual imaging study is must so it can be seen the anatomical position of lesions hope this information helps.
