Is Surgery Recommended To Treat Fibroid In The Uterus?
Hi, my name is Maria recently i have my ultrasound and the conclusion is fibroid uterus with several small fibroids. What do I have to do ? Still waiting for schedule for operation. What type of operation would be applicable for this kind of diagnosis. And how is the recovery for this? Please enlighten me. Thank you so much. Maria
The mode of treatment in case of uterine fibroid is determined by the patient age, size and number of fibroids and desire to conceive. In case of young women desiring fertility, laparoscopic removal of fibroid is advised. Laparoscopic surgery is non invasive and has quicker healing rates than abdominal surgery. Hence laparoscopic surgery is one of the best options.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
