Is Surgery Required For A 14.4 Mm Calculus?
Hi, I am having 14.4 MM Calculus at Right PUJ, but don t have pain every time. Its pain when I have a long walk or some heavy exercise. For that 14.4 MM do I need to go for surgery or it can be dissolved with medicines. If surgery required then, which type of surgery?Till now I am having homeopathy medicine treatment, but from last 4 months result are same.Please suggest.ThanksJoginder Sutar

I have understand your concern
normal size of ureter is 6mm
your stone size is 14mm , so definitely you need intervention to clear that.
procedures in order
1.ESWL, if it doesn't work then
2.ureteroscopy , break the stone and remove
3.PCNL
like order wise it should be followed
it is not a major surgery also
