Is Surgery Required For A Spiral Fracture In The Hand?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... I have a spiral fracture in my second metacarpal in my hand. I had a cast on for 6 weeks and it is still showing up on the x-ray as broken. My cast is off but it still hurts really bad and my finger is shorter and there is still some bruising. Should I try to get surgery?
