Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have recently had a CT scan to rule out a possible mass in the pelvis area lower left side. I was told today I have gall stones in my gall bladder. I was so surprised. I have no symptoms to my knowledge. Will I require surgery to remove the gall stones or possible the entire gall bladder?
Hi I think gall stones require surgery to remove gall bladder itself as stones recurrence rate is high. You might develop symptoms like heartburn, nausea and heaviness in abdomen in near future due to gall stones. So, surgery is necessary.
