Is Surgery Required When The Gleason Score Is 7?
My Gleason score came back at 7. I understand that is considered intermediate risk. I am a healthy 58 year and not overweight. I need to find out from the biopsy what each score was, so if the first number say a 3+ 4 would be less risk than 4+3, correct. The first words out of the doctors mouth was surgery. Divinci $50,ooo surgery. I have no insurance at this time. Please advise on what to ask about.

It is calculated as in two morphological interpretation sum.. Means 3+4 suggest Gleason score 7..
It is given between 2 to 10 and Accordingly prog no decided like two is best prognosis and 10 is worst
To improve your prognosis surgery will be beneficial
And than accordingly medication to suppress androgen can be prescribed
