Is Surgery The Best Alternative For Sciatica?

I have a neurosurgeon I have been seeing because I have had back problems with two surgeries. He has suggested I go through surgery again but this tme he wants to put some hardware on my lower back which I refused to do. Is there any other way to relieve sciatica? The L-4- 5 supposedly are damaged and I was wondering if there was a way to fix the vertabrae besides inserting hardware?

Hello,

Insertion of prosthesis is done when other measures fail. Prosthesis are neutral and do not cause any harm or discomfort after insertion. I suggest you to discuss the problem with your orthopedist and also post the MRI findings to assess the exact status of the spine and spinal nerves.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
