Is Surgery The Only Option For Moderate Prostatomegaly?
Sir/Madam, My father (aged 54 years) has been diagnosed with Moderate Prostatomegaly. The urologist we are consulting has suggested surgery. My query is : Can this condition be treated through drugs, or is surgery the only option? If we resort to surgery, what are the likely side-effects?
Hello and welcome to Healthcamagic. It can be treated with medication for prostatehyperplasia however,it may not be successful and it would be better if you undergo surgery since this is simple procedure today and it will be permanent solution and this will rule out possible malignancy. I hope I have answered your query. I wish you a nice day.
