Is Surgery The Only Solution For Eagle Syndrome?

i am a 60 year old female who is going for surgery for eagle syndrome I feel like its more a herniated disc the causing the pain. I was injury in a car accident 15 years ago I tried everything but i did not have surgery One morning I woke up and it seem like the pain in my neck disappeared and went in the throat . I took a ct scan and the doctor told me I had eagle syndome

hello,thanks for your query, eagle syndrome(elongated styloid process) causing symptoms like ear pain difficulty in swallowing should be evaluated by ct scan for the measurement of styloid process.more than 30mm is a indication for styloidectomy.have an ent consultation for measurement and evaluation. hope i have answered your query. all the best. take care,
