Is Surgery The Only Way To Treat Poly From Cecum?

Hello, I m scheduled to have an aggressive/persistant pre-cancerous polyp removed from my cecum. The surgeon will enter laproscopically and remove the tissue in question through an open exit point. I understand this is major surgery . But how routine is this procedure.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of being scheduled for aggressive/persistent pre-cancerous polyp from the cecum via laparoscope and remove the tissue in question through an open route.
Yes this is a major surgery and since this is now being practiced all over the world, laparoscopy is becoming a commoner route for such surgeries.
In some centers, this is done only Laparoscopically as they are most well trained..
So do not worry if the center you are undergoing surgery is known to do such surgeries, go ahead.
