Hello I had inguinal hernia repair done by laparoscopic surgery it was on the right side and it s been 1 month about date and I started to develop as what my doctor called with a seroma or hematoma and so at a month out I m essentially traded a large soft hernia they could be pushed back in on occasion for something that s about the size of a hard lunch boxes Apple my doctor did some should have a sonogram and then also a CT scan and thinks it is not there s almost certain it is not another hernia that the hematoma should resolve on its own just going to question if this is normal or not or should I get a second opinion from someone thank you!

Is Surgical Removal Of Hematoma Advisable?
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic Usually hematomas resolve on their own though, if it is large, this can take a few weeks and it may not resolve completely. In the cases of large hematoma there may be a small amount of scar tissue that remains. You should consider a second opinion if you are not comfortable with the diagnosis. I hope this helps
