Is Surgical Removal Of Painful Sebaceous Cyst In Head Advisable?

Hi doctor, I am suffering with sebaceous cyst in my head left side since more than 8 years. Now its creating problem for me with unbearable pain doctors suggested me for operation 7 years ago after diagnosing properly. Can you please help with the expected cost of operation.

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Infected sebeceous cyst certainly needs surgical intervention.
It needs to be removed by means of surgery.
The operation is not that costly as it is a minor surgical procedure, which is performed on an out-patient basis.
Surgical procedure is done under local infiltration anaesthesia under aseptic conditions. Following the procedure, depending on the size of the wound, surgical sutures will be put to close the wound.
You would need alternate day dressing of the wound with administration of antibiotic course and analgesic medications.
After a week, the sutures would be removed.
Kindly consult Surgeon in this regard for appropriate management.
