Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been experiencing moderate swelling on the top of my left foot. Not the ankle, leg or rest of the foot, just the top of my foot from the base of my toes to the beginning of the the bend of the foot to the leg. Is this an indicator of any illness or condition overtly? I have also been tired earlier in the evening and have had difficulty getting up for work in the mornings. Might these two be related? A tad bit of history/background. I am a 50+ yr old female; I have controlled(with medication) hypertension and am overweight. I have had no other major health conditions. I exercise for 45-60 mins 2-4x/wk. Last blood work and physical was 3/16, that showed no major concerns (cholesterol was borderline),
* The described swelling can be a soft tissue swelling as lipoma, sebaceous cyst or any inflammatory issue as gout development or else.
* Kindly get an examination with consultant surgeon for best evaluation or if not in a position to do so, it is recommended to upload a photo picture of the swelling for better insight and further guidance.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
