Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Doc, Till recently I was on Mixtard 30, 35 units in 2 divided doses(15 +20) for controll of hyperglycemia, along with Glimipride 8 mg daily. Will it be advantageous to switch to Novomix 30, My S.Creatinine is 1.6 units at the moment & PP Bl.Sugar is 203mg/dl. Pl. Suggest.Regards.
If your blood sugar is still under not well control then I would suggest you to continue with this mixtard 30 and 35 units as you are taking right now with oral hypoglycaemics drug.
Here you need to restrict your sugar by avoiding sweet and sugar in the diet.
You should consult your treating physician who knows best about your medical history and can change your medications best.
Regards,
