Is Taking Diclofenac Safe For Tooth Pain After Having Deep Tooth Filling?

I had a big filling today - very deep. Dentist thinks I may need root canal but once to give the tooth a chance. Now the anastetic has worn off I am in a lot of pain. Tried inrophrien but it got worse. The. Took paramol ( paracetamol and DHC) but it still very bad. No effect. Can I now take diclophenic? I just want to be able to sleep as I have work tomorrow.w

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your query as you had a tooth indicated for root canal treatment and still it was attempted to be filled up..

It is causing irritation of the nerves present in the centre of the tooth causing its inflammation and it is the cause for severe pain..

As you have severe pain you need to take a higher painkiller like Tramadol or Ketorolac as they can relieve severe acute as Diclofenac can relieve moderate pain..

The next very morning get the filling removed under local anaesthesia and get the root canal treatment initiated..
