General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD) is a treatable disorder, which results in irregular menstruation and improper ovulation, leading to difficulty or delay in conceiving.
Hence the treatment is given for correcting menstrual cycle along with proper ovulation, which would improve the chances for conceiving.
What treatment has been instituted is proper in your case, which would be taking care of both.
In addition, reducing weight by means of diet and exercise is also known to benefit.
Kindly go ahead with follicular study, which would help to know the progress of ovulation and it would help you to time the intercourse accordingly.
Kindly follow the advise as given by your doctor.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
