Is Taking Norgestimate And Ethinyl Estradiol Be Advisable To Treat Acne?
I've been wanting to get on birth control for pregnancy and acne reasons, my dermatologist suggested it before, but I decided not to go with it. Today, my sister gave me her pack of Tricira Lo- Norgestimate and Ethinyl Estradiol tablets. I don't know much about these tablets though so I don't know if I should be using it or not.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of acne on face which is because skin has increased sensitivity of getting pigmented and it leads to post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation. It could be due to clogged pores of sebaceous gland filled with sebum ,dead skin and bacteria get infected. Yes you can start with Norgestimate and Ethinyl Estradiol combination. You should apply demelean or Meladerm cream and it is purely safe to use as this is combination of hydroquinone + Tretinoin + steroid and apply it at night time.I would suggest you to wash your face daily with cold water and face wash containing salicylic acid twice a day and apply cream containing azelaic acid which is good for acne as well as marks. Drink plenty of water. If condition doesn't get well in a week then consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like minocycline, steroid ointment and may recommend chemical peeling for marks. Apply aloe vera gel at night
