Is Taking Provera Oral Risk-free While Trying To Be Conceived?
Hi! Is it safe to take provera while trying to conceived? I have an irregular period since first period started, sometimes 3 months 4 months 6months and for 2 months now my OB Gyne prescribed provera ....I already take the pregnancy test and it is negative, I m just worried that what if I conceived while taking provera, is it safe?

Hi,
You can stop provera once pregnancy is confirmed. Till then no need to stop it. It doesn't harm your pregnancy rather in some cases of threatened abortion these are used even. It's alternative to a naturally present hormone used to regulate ovulation and menstrual cycle however once you conceive you should consult your gynecologist before stopping.
