Is Taking Rantac And Medler Safe For Cough And Fever?
Hi I'm suffering from cough and cold from past 3 days, and having headache and fever along with. doctor has suggested me to take antibiotics and advised Aug625, rantac n medlar.. so should I go for this or I can wait for one or 2 days more with normal medicine
Understanding your concern. As per your query you are having cough, headache and fever is because you are suffering from viral infection. It could be due to bacterial infection / upper respiratory tract infection as well. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist once and get complete examination done. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics along with decongestants You should go for blood and sputum tests. You should give antipyretics for fever relief such as calpol, paracetamol or adol suppositories acetaminophen. Gargle with saline water. Rantac and Medler is a safe combination. You should take steam inhalation. Use mist humidifiers in room. If fever increases do tepid sponging as well with cold water and take throat lozenges as well. Take multivitamin tablets.
Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
