Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I take Sotalol 1 80MG tab split in half am and pm. Asprin 81 1xday, Lipitor 10MG 1xday .Can I take with food ? What are adverse side effects ? Are there any other drugs or supplements that can cause adverse reaction when taking sotalol and Lipitor?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern... Yes you can take Sotalol with lipitor, If prescribed by a doctor. There is no drug interaction between them. Sotalol is a beta blocker & is indicated in heart problems such as ectopic beats, arrythmias etc. If you are prescribed 40 mg sotalol in morning & evening. You should take whole tablet of sotalol 40mg in morning & evening. You should not break one tablet of 80 mg into two, as this is more prone to causing less or high dosage at a time
Refer to your cardiologist
Hope this informatrion helps
