Is Taking Susten200 During First Pregnancy Advisable?
hello madam..my doctor has been giving me SUSTEN200 tablet and MAINTAIN injection since our first visit after 7weeks of pregnancy.my wife uses bus to go to her work place.my doctor has given 3 injections of maintain in the interval of 15-15 days and prescribed taking susten 200 tablet twice daily.I would like to ask you that is this much amount of progesterone hormones is recommended in first pregnancy?
Hello dear I understand your concern Susten 200 contain progesterone and it safe during the pregnancy. It is given in the high risk pregnancy (LOW PROGESTERONE AND HCG) to prevent the miscarriage and promote the growth of the baby. It make the uterine environment favorable and maintain the pregnancy. Take under the advise of gynecologist. Progress should be monitored by regular USG scan. Hope this may help you
