Is Temporary Loss Of Vision A Symptom Of Dehydration?

I have a 10 year old daughter who has been showing symptoms of the flu since last Friday. Coughing, fever, chills, aching bones (mainly legs and back). The fever peaked at 104 degrees on Monday. On Tuesday, I was able to ge thte fever down to 100.3 and as of this morning, her temperature was back to normal. Oddly, she fell over a huge chair this morning and said that she was "blind" and that everything had gone completely black. This occurred again a couple hours ago. She could see nothing on the television. The vision comes back but starts off really blurry. Could this be a symptom of dehydration?

Hello
It seems from the history that your daughter is having symptoms of temporary loss of vision . This is called as amaurosis fugax. This can occur in ddehydration or in hypoglycemia commonly in children.
The correction of nutritional status and intake of adequate fluids will help to prevent this condition.
With the treatment of the systemic condition and flu this will resolve.

Thank you
