Is Testicular Swelling And Pain With History Of Hydrocele A Cause For Concern?

I have been diagnosed with hydrocele but I am having a lot of pain to the point I can t stand clothes to touch my testicle. I also had blood and white cells in urine sample. Was told to go home and set up appointment with urologist but can t get in for 2 weeks and my testicle keeps getting larger. Is this dangerous?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on your description, it is not advisable to wait for 2 weeks. Since the symptoms are progressing, it is advisable to seek medical attention promptly. Kindly get yourself evaluated from a Surgeon by going to the emergency department, so that appropriate treatment can be instituted.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S,
