yesterday night , my husband was bite by dog (house dog) in the anklet of leg. he is a sugar patient . He was injected TT within 15 minutes of dog bite. Whether we have to use rabbies injection or not? How many doses?
Any diet method we have to follow . Any precautions to follow. Thank you
Dear Friend. Welcome to HCM. See he should get rabies vaccination immediately . Tetanus shot alone is not going to help to protect from rabies. As far as diabetic issue is concerned he needs to take care of the wound. As diabetics are more prone to infection. I would advice you to get his blood sugar under proper control and to see a doctor for vaccination and wound infection. If wound gets infected he might also require antibiotic therapy to treat or prevent cellulitis. If you have any further query please ask me. Stay Healthy.
