Is The TSH Level A Cause For Concern For A 32-week-pregnant Female?
Hi. I am 32 weeks pregnant, just 2 days ago i discovered that my TSH level is high, it is 3.5 (max should be 0.3 to 2.9)....I started Thyronorm 25mg now. But my worry is that last 6 months, it went un noticed. My 3rd week report gave the value of TSH 4.3 but my previous gynec did not bother to give me medicine. I just hope all in control and nothing to worry? My age is 37...
After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that high levels of thyroid needs to be taken care during pregnancy and you should consult your gynaecologist or a physician for dose adjustment of Thyronorm.
Hopefully this information will guide you properly.
Kind Regards Dr Bhanu Partap
