Is The Anything I Can Do Or Take Over The Counter Medicine To Bring My BP Down Quickly?
I am a 58 yo female. 5ft tall 170 lbs non smoker. I take supplements but no regular meds. I did receive a and oral dose of azithromycin (1 gram) 3 days ago to treat chlamydia. I do not use drugs of alcohol. My bp is very high today. Even after walking almost 4 miles this afternoon . Since then readings are ranging from 177/94 trending up ....now at 207/122. No symptoms other than fatigue. Is the anything I can do or take over the counter to bring my BP down quickly?
There is no over the counter drug to help reduce blood pressure values. But you can try garlic and lemon juice to help lower blood pressure values naturally. If these blood pressure values persist, I recommend going to the ER in order to take the proper treatment and avoid high blood pressure complications.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
