Is The Below Lab Report With Traces Of Protein Indicative Of Pregnancy?

I just want to know if I m pregnant. My lab result is Dk. Yellow,turbid,7.0 reaction,1.015 specific gravity, protein trace, glucose negative, pus cells 10-15 hpf, red blood cells 1-2 hpf, many amorphous, many epithelial cells, many bacteria. Is this normal to those pregnant women?

Hello dear,
Understand your concern.
Your urine report is abnormal.
Protein trace: suggest protein in urine , it indicate kidney damage.
Most commonly due to Hypertension in pregnancy or may be Glomerulonephritis.
So checked your blood pressor and if high consult to doctor and take the treatment.

Your urine report may be a hematuria but not confirmed.
If 1-2rbc/hpf on continous three urine analysis confirmed heamaturia.

Normally no pus cell present in urine
Pus cell suggest infection in Urinary tract.

Treatment of UTI:

1. Tablet ciprofloxacin 500 mg Twice daily is being effective.

2. Fluoroquinolones and nitrofurantoin become better options in your case of resistance increases.
3. Drink plenty of water
4. Drink cranberry juice and other citrus fluid juice.

5. If fever: Tablet paracetamol 500 mg 2/3 times per day.

Repeat urine test after treatment to know the clear of infection.
If not resolved,
Consult the doctor and take intravenous antibiotic to cure infection..

Hope this may help you.
Wish you good health and faster recovery

Best regards
Dr. Sagar
