Susten medication contains hormone
progesterone, and is given during pregnancy to prevent miscarriage.
However, it is not the only indication that it needs to be given in pregnancy alone.
Endometriosis is a disorder in which the tissue that forms the lining of your uterus grows outside of your
uterine cavity.
Doctors may prescribe medications that affect a woman’s hormones in order to treat endometriosis and pain associated with it by means of
oral contraceptive pills and gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) agonists, so as to attain a “temporary” menopause-like state.
Doctor can prescribe oral contraceptives in
hemorrhagic cyst to stop ovulation and prevent the development of new cysts, and to shrink and eventually remove the cyst.
Kindly take the medication and do necessary follow-up as advised.
