Is The Following Sperm Test Result Normal?
Hi, my fiancee did a sperm test as we are trying to conceive for 1 year and 9 months. the results are Volume 2 ml Amount 14.1 Progressive 14 percent Non-progressive 21 percent Immotile 65 percent Morphology - normal forms 1.5 percent The GP said that the result is a bit lower than it should be but no problem at all to get pregnant. I resaerched the net and somehow think that the sperm result is really bad. I feel really sad now, especially he already has a child (11 years) with someone and I can't endure seeing her at the moment because I am constantly thinking what if I will never get pregnant. Hello
Your fiancee report suggest low sperm motility and excessive abnormal morphology sperms.
He need proper clinical examination and further investigations.
He need routine hemogram,RBS,colour doppler of scrotum,hormone assay.
Motility of sperms are low.Normally motility should be at least 55 %.He has 65% immotile sperms.
Sperm morphology is also abnormal.At least 16 % normal morphology sperms are required for natural fertilization.H has only 1.5 % normal sperms.
You shouldn't disappoint so much.He should take nutritious diet and do exercise.If findings doesn't improve then assisted fertilization techniques can be considered.
