Is The Hard Lump Under The Skin Like Rubber Due To The Dog Bite Is Infectious?
I was bitten by a dog on the elbow/forearm nearly two weeks ago. Clean wound and did not bleed (bruised terribly over the length of my arm) and it swelled up like an egg - now left with a hard, egg sized lump under the skin which feels rubbery and has no feeling?

Hello, Welcome to HCM, If you have taken proper treatment following the dog bite, that is local wound treatment, all five shots of anti rabies vaccine over the period of one month on to the deltoid. If you have done this nothing to worry as there was no bleeding you may not require anti rabies immunoglobulin. The swelling is may be due to internal haematoma and it will come down by itself and nothing to worry. You can apply hot packs over the swelling it will help in regressing the swelling. Thank you.
